This page explains what we collect when you order a report from us, what we do with it, and what we do not do with it. It is written to be read.
Who We Are
Sierra Environmental Consultants, LLC has provided environmental risk screening since 1993. You can reach us at [email protected] or (800) 769-7437.
What We Collect
When you order an RSRA EZ-Screen, you give us:
- The property — an address, or latitude and longitude where address data is unreliable.
- You — your name, company, email address and phone number.
- The deal — the lender or institution the report is for, and whatever you tell us about the transaction so we can scope the work correctly.
- Anything you choose to attach — a previous environmental report, a title commitment, a survey, photographs, or a signed Environmental Questionnaire.
- Payment details, if you pay when you order. Payments are handled by Wave. We do not see or store your full card number.
We also gather information about the property from public and commercial records. That is the report itself, not personal information about you, and our Terms and Conditions describe it.
What We Use It For
Only these things:
- Researching and writing the report you ordered.
- Delivering it to you, and to anyone you tell us to send it to.
- Invoicing and collecting payment.
- Answering questions about a report — including years later, when a lender asks.
- Meeting our own professional and record-keeping obligations.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, at any price.
- We do not pass your deal to firms who would like to sell you a Phase I. We recuse from that work ourselves, and we keep no referral network with an interest in your transaction.
- We do not track you on this website. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no cookie banner — because there is nothing to consent to.
Who Else Sees It
A small number of providers, each doing one job for us:
- Wave, to invoice and take payment.
- Our email provider, to send you the report and correspondence.
- Data vendors, for the property records that go into the report. These are given an address; they are not given you.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.
How Long We Keep It
Indefinitely. A report is a professional work product. A lender, a borrower or a regulator may need us to produce or explain one long after the deal has closed, and we keep the order record behind it for the same reason.
Your Choices
Write to [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, and delete what we are able to delete.
We cannot delete a delivered report, or the record behind it. Once a report has been issued and relied on in a transaction, it is part of a professional record we are obliged to keep. We would rather say that plainly than promise something we will not do.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state's privacy law. Ask, and we will honour them.
Children
This is a service sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this page, we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say what changed rather than quietly reposting it.
